Live-In Pet Sitting Details
~ Pets stay in their home.
~ Booked as a 24-hour service.
~ No additional daytime charges.
~ Guarantees pets are not alone longer than you request.
~ Pet sitter on-site overnight for potty breaks or emergencies.
~ Includes feeding, walking, playtime, medications, bringing in mail, setting out/bringing in trash receptacles.
~ Rates are based on a 24-hour time period from arrival to departure.
~ Starts at $125/day.

If this amount is shocking, please consider: $125 divided by 24 hours = $5.20 per hour. As of January 1, 2026, Arizona’s minimum wage is $15.15. $15.15 x 24 hours = $363.60. Another way of looking at this – if your pet(s) is/are not alone for more than 4 hours at a time and a total of 8 hours of the day, that means I am spending no less than 16 hours at your home. 16 hours x $15.15 = $242.40 per 24-hour booking. Even being generous and deducting 8 hours of sleep time = $121.10.

Rates are applicable for Sedona, Village of Oak Creek, Page Springs, Cottonwood, Cornville, Clarkdale and Jerome. Rates may vary depending on mileage and drive-time to your home, the number of pets and their health status. A 50% deposit is requested at time of booking and the balance is due in full on the first day of service.

Extended care rates may apply if the final day end time is 2 hours or more later than the start time on the first day.
~ 2 to 6 additional hours starts at $30/hour.
~ 6 or more hours is 100% of the live-in rate.

If the booking is cancelled:
~ by 12:00 noon 30 days prior to first date of service, you receive a full refund.
~ after 12:00 noon 30 days prior to first date of service, the deposit is considered a cancellation fee.
~ less than 24 hours prior to the first date of service, the remaining balance is due.

If all of the above is amenable and I am available for your dates we schedule a free meet-and-greet. This is an opportunity for you and your pet(s) to meet me and you can determine whether I’m a good fit. I ask a lot of questions and we discuss everything I need to know about caring for your pets and your home, if needed. After we meet, I email a Veterinarian Medical Consent & Release form for you to complete in case there is an emergency.

If I am not a good fit, I can provide referrals for other pet-sitters who offer the same or similar services. I also have referrals if you are needing a trainer or boarding for your dog.

Due to the high demand for pet-sitting service commitments during the holiday season, stays that include any of the following holidays are priced at $150 per 24-hour intervals: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve.

Laura has been a pet/house sitter for me and my husband for over a year. Laura has been our pet sitter since we moved to Sedona in May of 2024. I was so nervous because we were leaving for a week just a short time after moving into our new home and my terrier, Will, has Addison’s Disease which means stress can make him go into shock.
